1. The services and these terms
Brentorin Chapter offers online retail research, customer-experience evaluation, strategic planning, and advisory services. These terms address use of the website and the framework for a possible engagement. The catalog describes starting scopes rather than an offer to perform unlimited work for a single price. A paid engagement requires a separate written scope accepted by the parties.
A proposal or statement of work should identify the service provider, the client, the question to be addressed, deliverables, fees, taxes or approved expenses, the schedule, and relevant responsibilities. A specific written agreement controls a directly conflicting commercial detail for that engagement, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be limited. Viewing the website alone does not constitute acceptance of a paid services contract.
2. Eligibility and appropriate use
The services are intended for adults who can enter a binding agreement and for people authorized to act for the relevant business. If you request work for an organization, you should have the authority to share the relevant information and agree its scope. We may decline a proposed engagement where the request is outside the available services or would require unlawful conduct.
Use the website lawfully. Do not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, misrepresent your identity, or submit material you lack authority to provide. The public brief is not a secure file-transfer tool and should not contain passwords, card details, sensitive personal information, or private customer-level data. Any needed access must be separately arranged.
3. Website inquiries are not orders
The local form prepares a brief and displays a summary after valid fields are completed. It does not email the information, create an appointment, create an order, or notify a manager. You must send the prepared brief yourself to the displayed contact email if you want it reviewed. The success screen confirms local preparation only.
A consultation request does not reserve time or create a fee. If a consultation is to be paid, its price, length, scope, and cancellation terms must be disclosed and agreed before it is booked. The published price of another service does not automatically become the price of a preliminary discussion. No payment can be made inside the brief form.
4. Scope, starting prices, and payment
The service schedule below states the published starting prices in U.S. dollars. Each starting scope is described in the service explorer. Larger assortments, additional channels, primary research, licensed datasets, extra workshops, or implementation can require a different quote. Those changes must be agreed before additional work or charges are incurred.
Payment timing, the available payment method, applicable taxes, and any separately approved third-party expense are confirmed in the written scope and invoice or payment request. Selecting a card, Apple Pay, PayPal, or U.S. ACH preference does not confirm that the method is enabled for the business or authorize a charge. Card and bank credentials must not be sent in the public form or an ordinary project brief.
5. Client materials and cooperation
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the materials you provide and for obtaining permissions needed to share them. A project may rely on product information, public store access, aggregate performance records, relevant brand materials, and your explanation of business priorities. Tell us about material constraints and changes that could affect the analysis.
Work may need to pause where required information, access, approvals, or agreed payment is unavailable. A revised schedule should reflect the effect of that delay rather than silently maintaining an unrealistic date. Unless separately agreed, an engagement does not require us to verify every underlying data point independently or recruit customers for primary research.
6. Delivery, review, and changes
Deliverables may include a report, audit, category map, strategic framework, recommendation memo, roadmap, or scheduled discussion, as stated in the scope. Planning windows in the catalog are estimates after the prerequisites are met. The binding schedule and any milestones are confirmed for the engagement. The Service Delivery Policy explains the delivery framework.
Review the delivered work against the agreed scope and raise a specific material omission or error promptly. A reasonable clarification is different from new research, a changed business question, an added brand, or a request to implement the recommendations. Material additions should be described and priced through a written scope change. These review expectations do not remove a statutory remedy or a remedy for nonperformance.
7. Confidentiality and project information
Nonpublic business information shared for an engagement should be used for that engagement and handled with reasonable care. Information that is publicly available, independently developed, lawfully received from another source, or required to be disclosed by law may need different treatment. A specific confidentiality agreement may provide further obligations for the project.
Do not assume a client name, project, financial result, or confidential deliverable may be published as a case study. Any identifiable public use should be separately authorized. Where a proposed project requires handling customer personal information, the parties should agree appropriate roles, permissions, minimization, access, and security before it is transferred. Ordinary website inquiry preparation does not establish such an arrangement.
8. Rights in materials and deliverables
You retain rights in materials you provide. You give the permission reasonably needed to review and use those materials for the agreed work. The engagement should specify rights in its final deliverables. Unless the written scope provides otherwise, payment for a completed bespoke deliverable gives the client a nonexclusive right to use that deliverable internally for its own business purposes.
Pre-existing methods, templates, general know-how, and independently created frameworks remain with their respective owners. Third-party content remains subject to its own rights and restrictions. A report containing a quoted source or a reference does not transfer the source owner’s rights. Resale, public redistribution, or publication of the complete deliverable should be separately agreed.
9. Recommendations and outcomes
The work provides professional research and strategic judgment within the agreed scope and available evidence. Observations, assumptions, and forward-looking views are not guarantees. You remain responsible for business decisions, implementation, legal compliance, customer communications, and the operation of your stores and systems.
We do not guarantee revenue, profit, conversion, loyalty, search visibility, funding, vendor performance, or AI accuracy. AI-related advisory does not include development or deployment unless expressly agreed. Retail pricing guidance supports independent business decisions and does not authorize coordination with competitors or other unlawful pricing conduct. The Disclaimer explains additional limits of the information.
10. Cancellation, billing, and suspension
The Refund & Cancellation Policy governs cancellation requests and the treatment of prepaid work, subject to the agreed scope and applicable law. Work not performed should be distinguished from work already completed and documented approved costs. There is no blanket statement that every payment is nonrefundable in every circumstance.
Monthly advisory starts only under a separately accepted monthly scope. It does not automatically renew or authorize automatic payment through this website. Any recurring arrangement needs clear terms and affirmative authorization. If work must be suspended for nonpayment, missing access, or a material issue, the parties should communicate the reason and the effect on the schedule. Suspension is not an authorization to charge for unperformed future work without an agreed basis.
11. Responsibility and applicable law
Each party is responsible for its own conduct and the obligations it has expressly accepted. To the extent permitted by law, a written engagement may limit recovery for indirect or speculative business losses and may set a reasonable liability allocation related to the fees for the affected work. No exclusion in these website terms is intended to excuse fraud, intentional misconduct, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Missouri law governs an agreed engagement unless its written terms provide otherwise and subject to mandatory law that applies. Where a dispute is properly heard in Missouri, courts with appropriate jurisdiction in Greene County are the intended forum, without restricting any nonwaivable forum, consumer, or small-claims right. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver. Nothing here removes protections available under the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act or other applicable law.
12. Questions and changes
Please raise a service concern with the contact information below and include enough information to identify the engagement and the issue. The local brief confirmation does not transmit a complaint, cancellation, or formal notice. Use direct correspondence for matters that require our receipt, and keep a copy of what you send.
Website terms may be updated prospectively. The date at the top identifies this version. A website update does not by itself amend a separately accepted engagement, increase an agreed fee, or authorize a new recurring charge. If one provision cannot be enforced, the remaining lawful provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
